Quotes from other experts:
This is an amazing printer, it does everything and more. It's super easy to use and set up and comes with crystal clear instructions and resources on how to make and print your own objects. Not only is this probably one of the best printers on the market, it was relatively cheaper among it's competitors. The huge build platform has allowed me to create amazing things.
Since day one I've been using the Tax 6 every day and it never misses a beat. I use it with S3d not Cura which is just preference - works just as well with Cura but you don't have as many choices in terms of customizing settings and materials. Going from complicated design to reality in minutes is just awesome from an engineer's prospective. It's all open source too.
I recommend this printer to everyone who’s printing on a regular base. It’s perfect for small businesses / professional users. The fully automatic bed leveling and modular tool head will minimise your downtime and the open design of the printer makes it easy to clean and maintain. It’s just a fantastic printer.
The LulzBot TAZ 6 is, in my opinion, the most complete 3D printer currently on the market. It’s extremely reliable, as made evident by the number of long prints I was able to finish without any problems whatsoever. The Taz 6 is the best overall 3D printer I have ever used, it’s priced reasonably well—considering what you are getting—it’s beginner friendly, and it stays true to its open-source roots.
The LulzBot TAZ 6 is a solid mid-range 3D printer capable of printing large models. The LulzBot TAZ 6 offers a better printing resolution, within a slightly smaller build volume, compared to its predecessor and won 3D Hubs Best Of Work Horse 2017, Make:'s Runner up for outstanding open source 2017 and MatterHackers' Best Seller award.
Lulzbot TAZ 6 itself is dead-on reliable; it prints well, the documentation is great, everything about it is liberally licensed. If Aleph Objects can figure out those few bugs, then for what I’m looking for in a 3D printer there’s not much out there that does a better job overall. I guess the worst part is that now that I’m officially done testing it, I do have to return it. Which sucks.
The TAZ 6 is extremely well built with an amazing community behind it as well as excellent customer support from Lulzbot. Some basic 3D knowledge and a lack of fear for tinkering is necessary. It prints very nicely out of the box, it basically is plug and play. It takes some tweaking to get things perfect but once you do, print quality is simply amazing. Construction is great.
Lulzbot has gained a reputation as one of the top companies in the open source 3D printing movement. Their printers show an incredible amount of engineering, and their community continues to make their machines even better. With the Taz 6, Lulzbot has made this top level machine accessible to novice owners and experts alike. For those who are serious about open source, Lulzbot’s line of printers are a top choice.
The LulzBot TAZ 6 is an expensive but very-high-quality printer for the serious 3D-printer user. It is the best FDM 3D printer we have tested. While print quality remains the same, the TAZ 6 is more reliable and easier to use than its predecessor. Plus, the self-leveling print bed and extruder cleaner make printing more consistent and reliable. Of course, quality has its price.
The LulzBot TAZ 6 desktop 3D printer is the flagship product made by the US based LulzBot. The very-high-quality 3D printer has many great features and seen as one of the best in his price range. The TAZ 6 is more reliable and easier to use than its predecessor and the self-leveling print bed and extruder cleaner make printing more consistent and reliable. Of course, all this quality comes with a price. One of the biggest downsides is the absence of second extruder (dual extruder).
